The department has medical equipment related to metabolic surgery, such as laparoscopy, electronic gastroscopy, electronic duodenoscopy, cholangioscopy, bedside ultrasound, body fat analyzer, respiratory sleep detection system, non-invasive ventilator, etc. At present, clinical research and basic research on laparoscopic metabolic surgery for obesity and type 2 diabetes have been carried out, and satisfactory results have been achieved. Although metabolic surgery has proven to be effective in reducing weight and blood sugar in large hospitals and medical centers abroad, it is still in its infancy in our province and even in China.
