The school, formerly known as the Fourth Junior Normal School of Zhili, was founded in 1910 (the second year of Xuantong in the Qing Dynasty) and has a history of 109 years. It is one of the earliest four normal schools established in Hebei Province. The total value of teaching and research equipment in the school is about 136 million yuan, with over 1.29 million paper books and over 220000 electronic books. There are over 1200 faculty members and over 18000 full-time students in the school. The school has 20 secondary colleges (departments) and 52 undergraduate majors, covering nine disciplines including literature, history, science, engineering, economics, management, law, education, and art. We have a national level characteristic professional construction site, three provincial-level key development disciplines, one provincial-level talent training base, two provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration centers, and two provincial-level social science research bases.
